BIOGRAPHY:
Romel is a seasoned body piercer with a deep-rooted passion for his craft that spans over three decades. At 50 years old, he brings not only skill and experience to his work, but a genuine love for piercing that rivals his devotion to his family.
He began his journey in 1992, during an era when the piercing world was largely uncharted driven more by curiosity and rebellion than formal instruction. For ten intense years, Romel immersed himself in learning the trade, developing his skills through hands-on experience. Life eventually led him down a different path, and he stepped away from the industry. But in 2016, he returned older, wiser, and more determined than ever to do things the right way.
Reentering the industry as a self-taught piercer, Romel approached the craft with fresh eyes. He studied anatomy, experimented with technique, and embraced every mistake as a lesson. In time, he found mentors who challenged him and helped him grow. Without intending to, he began mentoring others sharing his hard earned knowledge in the same spirit that first ignited his love for piercing.
Romel’s piercing philosophy is rooted in a careful balance between aesthetics and anatomical health. For him, a piercing isn’t just about appearance it should make sense, respect the body, and stand the test of time. A natural self-critic, he’s always pushing himself to improve, choosing to listen more than he speaks and allowing each client interaction to shape his work.
What Romel values most is the human connection. He cherishes the stories behind each piercing and is especially touched by the shared experiences of families who come in together. Whether it's a mother daughter duo or a multigenerational group, these moments transform the act of piercing into something more a meaningful ritual that brings people closer.
Outside the studio, Romel enjoys life’s simpler pleasures. He tries to stay active, values deep conversations, and remains committed to learning something new each day whether it’s about the human body, the art of piercing, or the hearts and minds of those he meets along the way
